Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the fluidity of a fluidized bed and maintain the fluidized bed in uniform temperature by a method wherein fluidized medium is fluidized with fluidizing air introduced in the wind box of a fluidized bed furnace and at the same time high temperature hot blast is blown in the furnace at the position which is higher than the height of the fuidized medium stood still and lower than the height of the fluidized bed. CONSTITUTION:The fluidized bed furnace 1 consists of a free board part 2 formed above the height of the layer of the fluidized medium stood still, the wind box 3 formed at the bottom part of the furnace 1, a fluidized dispersion plate 4 and the fluidized layer 5. The plate 4 and the layer 5 are arranged between the free board part 2 and the wind box 3. The hot blast is blown in the furnace from a hot blast blowing-in port 9 provided on the furnace wall at the lower part of the free board part 2 or especially at the position, at which the density of the fluidized medium is thin and the medium is violently fluidized, or at the position, which is located between the height of the layer of the fluidized medium stood still and the height of the fluidized bed. Owing to the method as mentioned above, no overheated zone is formed within the fluidized bed and the fluidized bed can be maintained in uniform temperature at all times, resulting in enabling to prevent the hindrance of fluidization due to compound and mixture with low melting point from occurring.
