Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent roll up of copying paper when a cassette is mounted and removed, by providing cams to both sides of a cassette main unit, lifting feed rollers through engagement of the cam and preventing contact of the copying paper to the feed roller at mounting and removal of the cassette. CONSTITUTION:In the process when a cassette, containing a main unit case 1, is mounted by inserting the cassette into a cassette receiver 6, guide rollers 11, 12 are lifted and lowered respectively against springs 9, 15 by cams 1' provided to both side walls of the main unit case, and feed rollers 7 are pressed upward while a pressing roller 13 is press lowered. In consequence, copying paper 4 is not contacted to the roller 7 and the cassette can be mounted. At completion of mounting of the cassette, the cam 1' passes the guide rollers 11, 12 to reset the feed roller 7, and positioning of the cassette is performed by engagement of the guide rollers 11, 12. Similarly at removal of the cassette, the feed roller 7 is retreated from a surface of the copying paper 4 to prevent roll up of the copying paper 4.
