Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the inner diameter of the hole on a work piece with high accuracy, by allowing a measuring element to do sampling of the stabilized output from a dimension setting apparatus immediately before the measuring element gets away from the hole of the work piece, in the case when the inner diameter of a blind hole or a small diameter hole is measured intermittently during grinding process.
CONSTITUTION: The output B of a limit switch 15 forms a pulse whose center coincides with point t2 where advance and retreat action of a wheel spindle stock 1 is switched. The first timer circuit is triggered simultaneously with the rise of this output B, and the pulse signal C having the width T1 is transmitted. The second timer circuit is triggered, simultaneously with the rise of the output C and the pulse signal D having the width T2 is transmitted. Output A of the inner diameter dimension setting apparatus 11 for a blind hole or a small diameter hole are sampled, while utilizing the output D as a sampling pulse. It the pulse width T1 and T2 are properly set, output A from the dimension setting apparatus 11 can be sampled in the period during which the measuring element retreats in the direction of retreat in the hole of the work piece, and the inner diameter can be measured with high accuracy.
