Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable easy detection of the mixing rate of metal fibers at a site of works by preparing beforehand an electric-field intensity curve of a standard body to be detected which has a variety of mixing rate and thickness. CONSTITUTION:By meansuring an electric-field intensity at each measuring point of a standard body to be detected of metal fiber concrete or mortar having a variety of metal fiber mixing rate and member thickness in a laboratory or the like, an electric-field intensity curve of the standard body to be detected is prepared beforehand. Next, a body to be detected is prepared at a site of works of required metal fiber mixed concrete or mortar, the electric-field intensity of the body at every measuring point thereon is measured, and an electric-field intensity curve is prepared therefrom. This electric-field intensity curve and the electric-field intensity curve of the standard body to be detected are compared with each other and thereby the metal fiber mixing rate and the ununiformity thereof are estimated. In this way, the mixing rate of metal fibers can be detected with ease at the site of works.
