Abstract

PURPOSE:To adequately perform correction also in a range of acceleration and deceleration incapable of learning, in air-fuel control of a mixture through an fir-fuel ratio sensor, by calculating a feed amount of fuel from the latest correction value of an engine condition stored in a memory unit. CONSTITUTION:For operating conditions of an engine, idle, steady running normal load and steady running high load, an integration correction value of air- fuel ratio sensor output is compared with a prescribed value, and coefficients K1-K3, adjusted from a reference value, are multiplied to a basic fuel injection amount to calculate a fuel injection amount. Further in case of storing the coefficients K1-K3, learning control of each factor, causing an error for target air- fuel ratio, is performed, and correction is perfrmed by the latest correction coefficients K1-K3 in all ranges of operation including transient time. For instance, at idle operation, a correction amount is calculated by the latest K1 and K3 stored except K2. Accordingly, correction control can be performed without delay of a response even for change of an operational condition.
