Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a control characteristic in a timing controller of fuel injection controlling an advance angle with an oil hydraulic cylinder, by arranging the deviation between a target advance angle and actual advance angle to zero through controlled oil pressure and guiding said controlled oil pressure to both chambers of the oil hydraulic cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A housing 2 is also rotated by rotary motion of an engine, and a target advance angle is calculated by a pick up signal 3 in an arithmetic circuit 31, while an actual advance angle is calculated from rotary timings of the housing 2 and a cam shaft 6 in an actual advance angle detector circuit 32, and their deviation is obtained in a comparator circuit 33, pulse-width modulated in a pulse-width modulator circuit 34 and applied to a four-way solenoid valve 35 to change on-off ratio. Accordingly, mean oil pressure to both chambers of a cylinder 11 is changed by output of the comparator circuit 33 and transimitted to a driving flange 4 through an eccentric cam 8 to perform advance timing by the angle corresponding to the deviation. Further at increase of speed, though centrifugal force is applied to a piston 12, oil pressure is applied from an oil communication hole 23, then a wide control range can be obtained even for the same oil pressure, further a control characteristic can be improved.
