Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a mark printing for a special line while performing a high speed printing by providing one ink ribbon with two colors, a mark printing means and a means of selecting printing mode by a command from an upper level unit. CONSTITUTION:A high speed tabulation printer 14 includes a printing data buffer 17, a control section 18 and a hammer driving section 21, the buffer 17 storing one line of data 16 fed from an upper level unit. When one line of printing is performed, a referencing is done from the hammer driving section 21 through a data line 22 and upon the end of printing for one line, a printing buffer resetting signal 23 is provided from the control section 18 to reset the buffer 17. The control section 18 receives and analyzes a command signal 15 from an upper unit. When it is a printing command for the mark printing mode, a hammer control signal 19 is emitted to the hammer driving section 21 to activate a mark printing hammer 8 and a printing data printing hammer block 9. When the command signal 15 is for the normal printing, a hammer controlling signal 20 is provided to the hammer driving section to active only the hammer block 9.
