PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time and to increase the contrast and density by using a polyalkylene oxide compound in a silver salt diffusion transfer method forming a negative image finally. CONSTITUTION:A photographic sensitive silver halide material is manufactured by coating a support with a layer (1) contg. photosensitive silver halide particles, a layer (2) contg. readily soluble metallic salt particles having surfaces difficultly solubilized with a difficultly solubilizing agent and having no photosensitivity practically, and a layer (3) contg. physically developing nuclei. When the sensitive material is processed with a processing soln. sontg. a reducing agent and a dissolving agent for metallic particles in the layer (2), a polyalkylene oxide compound is added to a layer of the material and/or the soln. The compound is nonionic, cationic or anionic and has 300-20,000mol.wt.
