CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive cuprous halide emulsion is manufactured by forming fine crystals of cuprous halide contg. 1W100mol% silver halide to the amount of the cuprous halide in the presence of protective colloid with halogen ions, silver ions or silver halide particles, and cuprous ions formed by reducing cupric ions. When a film obtd. by applying the emulsion is developed, an image with superior graininess and high contrast is obtd., and a silver saving useful photographic method is provided.
