Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an increase in current by a method wherein a three-phase transformer is composed of a three-phase main transformer and an adjusting transformer having tap windings and exciting windings and tap selectors and three phases connecting each-phase winding the tap windings, and the tap selectors in series are connected in different type to each other. CONSTITUTION:Tap winding 5U, 5V, 5W are connected to each phase high- voltage winding 1U, 1V, 1W in series respectively and exciting windings 7U, 7V, 7W are connected to each phase high-voltage winding 1U, 1V, 1W in parallel respectively, while tap selectors (LTC) 6U, 6V, 6W at ON-load are connected to each phase tap winding 5U, 5V, 5W respectively and each phase winding is connected in star type by a neutral lead 4 through these LTCs, 6U, 6V, 6W. Each phase exciting winding 7U, 7V, 7W and tap winding 5U, 5V, 5W are wound on the same iron core to compose an adjusting transformer and a voltage regulator at ON-load is composed by combining each phase LTC. In this way, an increase in current in the high-voltage windings and that in current in the low-voltage windings flowing into a main transformer can suppressed regardless of the magnitude of adjusting range.
