Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical strength of an insulating material and to prevent the dielectric breakdown of a superconductive wire by providing an insulating plate wound by an insulating tape on a metal plate between a spool and a superconductive coil. CONSTITUTION:An insulating plate 4 formed by winding an insulating tape 6 on a metal plate 5 is inserted and provided between a spool 1 and a superconductive coil 3. In this way, the mechanical strength of the insulating plate 4 is increased and there is no possibility crack generation in the insulating plate 4 even at extremely low temperatures in liquid helium. Furthermore, there is no exfoliation or deformation of the insulating plate 4 even if the superconductive coil 3 and the insulating tape 6 are chafed with each other durng winding work or excitation and good electrical insulation can be maintained.
