Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superior protection layer without requiring a high-temperature treatment by forming a transparent SiO layer, a TiO2 layer, or a mixed layer of the both on the surface of a transparent glass substrate by coating the surface with organosilicone resin, tetratitanic acid ester, or a mixed solution of the both, and then curing it. CONSTITUTION:A transparent optical glass substrate (a) is applied with titanic acid ester such as Ti(OC4H9)4, organosilicone resin, or a mixed solution of the both by spin coating to form a film (b), and this substrate is treated by quick hydrolysis in humid air and bonding at the same time to grow macromolecules. Then, a heat treatment is carried out at >=80 deg.C to form a TiO2 film (b''), an SiO2 film C', or a TiO2 and SiO2 mixed film (d'). On the film (b''), a thin metallic film (e) is formed to record information bits (f). Thus, the productivity is improved without the deterioration of the transparency of the glass substrate (a) and its damage.
