PURPOSE:To obtain a tape which is satisfactory in follow-up property to a magnetic head, etc., and excellent in durability, by forming a magnetic meatllic film which has provided a space exceeding specific width, on the base with specific density, filling the space with a lubricant, and giving flexibility to the magnetic film. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a polyester base film is brought to plasma treatment under the pressure-reduced atmosphere of Ar and O2 mixing gas, and a film 1 which has worked a rough surface to a craped pattern whose plane roughness is about 0.02mu, on the surface is made.
