Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent flammable vapor generated upon fueling from leaking to the outside, by forming a fueling port and an exhaust port in the bottom and the top, respectively, of a tank on a tank lorry and by linking those valve members disposed into these ports by means of one valve shaft so that both valves may be operated, simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A tank 2 of a tank lorry is provided with a bottom valve 4 in its lower bottom wall and an air withdrawing valve 3 in its top wall. Valve members 25, 14 of the valves 4, 3, respectively, are linked with a valve shaft 12 by which both valves 3, 4 may be commonly operated. The air withdrawing valve 3 is adapted to be communicated with an upper gas space in an underground tank through a pipe line 5, and the bottom valve 4 is adapted to be communicated with the portion in the underground tank which is in the vicinity of the bottom of the underground tank. The valve members 25, 14 are opened, simultaneously, by operating a handle 26 upon fueling from the tank lorry. With this arrangement, flammable gas generated upon fueling is vented from the upper portion of the undergound tank to the upper inside portion of the tank 2 on the tank lorry, thereby there is no leak of the gas to the outside.
