Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable pads to be exchanged in such a situation that the disc brake is installed in a vehicle, by deflecting from the side of a pad an anchor plate detachably fixed in an insert groove formed in a caliper body. CONSTITUTION:At the four corners of a caliper body 1, projections 1c having insert grooves 1b for anchor plates 3 are formed. At the insert grooves 1b, are inserted anchor plates 3 having a tail portion of semi-circular shape of the common center with that of an outer bolt 5 and also having through holes for inner bolts 4 and outer bolts 5. The inner bolts 4 and the outer bolts 5 are inserted from an upper faces of the projections 1c to firmly secure them. Consequently, the construction for receiving torque applied to a pad lining during braking action is thus obtained. Furthermore, the reason why the shape of the tail portion is a semi-circular is to make the anchor plate 3 rotatable around the outer bolt 5.
