Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of the device by a method wherein the beam- splitter acts as a highly reflective mirror against the excited light and acts as a filter to remove the reflected light of the excited light from the photoluminescence light. CONSTITUTION:The excited light from an excitation light source 1 is reflected by a beam-splitter 2 and reaches a condenser lens 3 for condensing both the excited light and the photoluminescence light. One part of the excited light is reflecged by the surface of the lens 3 and the other passes through it to reach a test sample 7. The reflected photoluminescence and excited lights by the test sample 7 pass through the lense 3 and reach the beam-splitter 2. The beam-splitter has a spectral characteristics to reflected excited light and to transmit the photoluminescence light effectively, so that the photolumnescence light can be projected on a light detector 5 selectively.
