Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the surface finish of a work face having the complex shape or requiring the accuracy while to control the work amount and the state through the magnetic field control, by applying the magnetic field on the polishing work liquid where the magnetic or non-magnetic grindstone particles are mixed in a magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:The working liquid 2 is contained in a tubular container 1 having an open uper end then a work 7 is immersed in the working liquid and work 7 is held by a holder through the opening of the container. The magnetic poles 3, 4 and 5, 6 are arranged while facing each other. When producing AC magnetic field between the magnetic poles 3, 4 and 5, 6, the magnetic disperse particle in the magnetic fluid or the magnetite micro particles will move in accordance to the alternatively varying magnetic field thus to move the magnetic particle, thereby the grindstone particles will receive the energy from the magnetic field indirectly through the magnetic fluid and the accelerated grindstone particles provided with the energy will collide against all surfaces of the work 7 thus to perform the surface finish or the polishing.
