Abstract

PURPOSE: To press and surely tighten each circular sectional unit uniformly to a platen by rams, in a compound sawing machine aligning and inserting many circular sectional units of equal diameter of pipe or the like between a supporting member and pressing device and performing simultaneous work of dividing and cutting in a vertical surface.
CONSTITUTION: Plural pipes 2 to be tightened are inserted from the side of a tightening device in an opening state of a platen 4. These inserted pipes 2 are fixed to a parallelly contacted state to each other by side supporting members 3 arranged with their mutual distance suitable to a diameter of the pipe, and a supporting member of the pipe 2 is constituted by locking of the platen 4 through a turning down of the platen 4 and engagement of a stopper part 21 of a latch 19. To tighten the pipe 2 to this supporting member, pressure fluid is fed to rams 9 to protrude the rams 9, and a surface of the pipe 2 is uniformly pressed and fixed to the platen 4. In this way, under a condition in which the all pipes 2 are pressed to the platen 4, a saw blade 7 is operated and lifted to the direction of an arrow head 8, then the pipe 2 is divisionally cut in a vertical surface.
