Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform secondary conduction without contact safely, with low noise, in high accuracy and long lifetime inexpensively by providing a stop positioning single phase AC energizing coil and a braking DC energizing coil at the primary side core of an LIM and magnetically stopping a carrier. CONSTITUTION:A secondary conductor 6 moves from right to left by traveling magnetic field of a primary coil 2. The coil 2 is reversely excited by altering the connection of 3-phase alternating current applied to the coil 2 in response to the detection of the end 16 of the conductor 6 by a position detector 141. The speed of the conductor 6 is lowered by this reverse excitation, the reverse excitation is disconnected when the speed of the conductor 6 is decelerated to the prescribed low speed by a speed detector 18. Then, when the position detector 142 detects the end 16 of the conductor 6, single phase AC energizing coils 101, 102 and DC energizing coil 12 are simultaneously energized. The speed is further decelerated by the rightward force between the points C and D and the braking force by the DC magnetic field by the coil 12, and the conductor 6 is accurately stopped and positioned at the balanced point 0 of the force with the coils 101, 102.
