Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled sealing material, containing an acrylic copolymer, containing hydroxyl groups and foamed mechanically by the high-speed stirring, as a main material together with a polyfunctional isocyanate compound, and having improved adhesive property, resistance to the dynamic repeated fatigue and heat and water resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A sealing material obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. main material consisting of an acrylic copolymer, containing hydroxyl groups, and mechanically foamed at an expansion ratio of preferably 3 or less by the high- speed stirring, preferably a copolymer of an alkyl acrylate, etc. with 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, having a molecular weight of 2,000W15,000 and 2W4 hydroxyl groups, preferably 50wt% or less plasticizer, e.g. dioctyl phthalate, 50wt% or less solvent, and 10wt% or less foam stabilizer, with (B) preferably 10W 50pts.wt. polyfunctional isocyanate compound, e.g. tolylene diisocyanate.
EFFECT: Improved adhesive property to porous materials, brittle materials, etc.
