Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten a track interval while preventing side crosstalk, by superposing the inverted signals of signals of adjacent tracks upon each other. CONSTITUTION:A signal of recording information of a track which corresponds to a head H2 and part of signals of tracks which corresponds to heads H1 and H3 due to side crosstalk are mixed. The mixture is applied to the plus terminal of an operational amplifier OP2. Part of read signals of the tracks which cor- respond to the heads H1 and H3 are applied to the minus terminal through attenuators AT1 and AT4. The signal of adjacent tracks arriving while superposed upon the output of a readout amplifier RA2 owing to the side crosstalk cancel, and consequently only the singnal of the track which corresponds to the head H2 is obtained through the operational amplifier OP2. The inverted singals of the signals of the adjacent tracks are superposed upon each other to prevent the side crosstalk, thus shortening a track interval.
