Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a temperature rise in a copying machine by constituting a radiation part by providing fins to a heat pipe on which a photoreceptor is pivoted, and arranging the radiation part in a duct which has an upper and a lower opening part. CONSTITUTION:In the housing 1 of a copying machine body, a photosensitive drum 3 is supported horizontally and rotatably on a supporting shaft 4 which constitutes a heat pipe, and one end of the supporting shaft 4 pierces the internal wall of the housing 1 and is equipped with fins 7a in a duct D. Therefore, heat generated in the housing 1 is cooled forcibly through a ventilation fan 5 installed in the ceiling of the housing and also radiated at the radiation part through the supporting shaft 4, and air heated at the radiation part rises from the lower opening 9a to the upper opening part 9b to obtain draft effect, improving cooling effect.
