Abstract

PURPOSE:To expedite analysis by a method wherein a belt-shaped holder conveying a body to be inspected (sample) is pushed intermittently in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of a belt and placed on a conveying mechanism and the sample is sucked by a pipette from a sample cup in the holder conveyed by the conveying mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A holder 4 holding a sample 2 is placed on a feeder belt 1 and conveyed thereby. The advance of the holder 4 is stopped by a stopper 8 and the holder is transferred onto a conveyor belt 10 by a pressing body 9 moving intermittently in the direction Q perpendicular to the moving direction of the belt 1. The holder 4 transferred onto the conveyor belt 10 is stopped temporarily by the stopper 13a of an initial sample analyzing device 12a, a sample number m is read and simultaneously a proper quantity of sample is sucked up by a pipette 14a. When this suction is ended, the stopper 13a is lifted upward and holder 4 passes therethrough, and it starts to move again by the belt 10. Meanwhile, the holder 4 wherefrom the sample is sucked up is transfrerred onto a collector belt 17 by a pressing body 16 moving intermittently.
