Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a general-purpose, compact and portable spectrophotometer which enables simple and rapid measuring, by a method wherein light receiving signal through a monochromator and wave-length specifying signal are processed in a prescribed digital processing and spectral characteristics are recorded. CONSTITUTION:Light transmitting from a light source 5 through optical fiber irradiates an object to be mearsued 2 by means of a measuring head 6. Reflected light is taken at the head 6 and transmitted through the optical fiber and received through a monochromator 7 of wave-length variable type having interference filters 8... by a light receiving device 10. If analog signal corresponding to light receiving amount in the receiving device 10 and wave-length specifying signal of the monochromator 7 by an optical encoder 11 are applied, a digital processing unit 23 comprising CPU 14, A/D converter 13, ROM 15 and RAM 16 performs comparison with reference specimen of standard white plate and operation of transmittance, reflectivity, absorbance based on the compared value, and spectral characteristics are recorded on a printer 17. This constitution provides a general-purpose, compact and portable spectrophotometer in which measurement is carried out simply and rapidly.
