PURPOSE:To increase safety of a vehicle in an engine drive automobile air conditioning device, by controlling idle speed through a vacuum actuator and performing driving control of said vacuum actuator through refrigerant pressure at the high pressure side of a refrigerating cycle. CONSTITUTION:A room cooling load is increased, if refrigerant pressure increases to P3, applied force to a pressure disc 51 is also increased, and the right end part B of a groove 43d in a rod 43 begins contacting to a lever 64 to rotate a throttle valve 62, increase a fuel flow amount and raise idle speed. For the refrigerating cycle in an abnormal state, if refrigerant pressure is further increased to P4, though the rod 43 opens the valve 62 to a corresponding degree of opening, a movable contact 41c interlocking to the rod 43 is contacted to a fixed contact 41b to open a power relay contact 40a and stop a compressor. In this way, engine negative pressure is not used, then a bad engine condition due to leak of negative pressure and decrease of brake performance can be eliminated, while reliability can be improved with less quantity of part items.
