Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a tire body enclosing device capable of completely preventing leakage of a high-temperature and high-pressure fluid by a construction wherein a disc-like holder of a special construction, bead edge holding portion, holding member connector and etc. are included in a pair of spit metal molds, and tire bead edges are pressedly secured to the surfaces of the split metal molds firmly. CONSTITUTION:Each bead edge B of a green tire A is attached to a bead plate 4 and a space between both bead plates 4 is made narrow, whereby each taper surface 12' of upper and lower guide members 12 abuts a tapered guide portion 7b of a holding member connector 6 and hence the connector 6 is protruded toward the tire body A while being enlarged radially. Then, as both metal mold bases 2 and both half-divided tread metal molds 3 are made to approach to each other, the upper and lower bead plates 4 abut with each other and each holding member 7 is protruded outward by the action of the guide member 12 of the bead plate 4, so that the tire body bead edges B are held between tire body bead edge holding portions 7b of each holding member 7 and the opposing peripheral portions of the upper and lower bead plates 4. In this way, the tire body A is enclosed within split metal molds 1 and then a high- temperature and high-pressure fluid is injected via an injection port 13 thereby to perform vulcanization.
