Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a vessel with a uniform wall thickness by correcting the wall of a blow-molded vessel by the use of a cylindrical tool having at its tip part a push plate operated by a link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical tool 3' provided with push plates 7 operated by a link mechanism 6 at its tip part is inserted into a parison 11 from the lower side with the push plates 7 just after extrusion and those are installed in the internal part of the split die 1. Next, compressed air is sent from the blow pipe 2 into the internal part of the parison 11 and the parison 11 is fixed closely to the internal surface of the die 1 to mold the vessel 12. Subsequently, while the molded vessel 12 is kept in a plastic state, a piston rod 9 is dropped by the drive of an air cylinder 8 and the push plates 7 are pressed against the wall of the vessel 12 by the link mechanism 6 to correct the wall of the vessel. when the piston rod 9 is lifted the push plates 7 are shut to return to the original state.
