Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to adjust the amplification factor and the dynamic range optimizingly for persons who have a difficulty in hearing at each frequency band, by changing the cut-off frequency and the attenuator of a low pass filter and a high pass filter. CONSTITUTION:A band filter consists of a low pass filter 3 and a high pass filter 4, and a signal amplified at an amplifier 2 is split into three different frequency bands. An attenuator 5 adjusts the amplification factor, a compressor amplifier 6 compresses the dynamic range, and an attenuator 7 adjusts the upper limit of the dynamic range. A mixer 8 mixes signals split into three zones and they are applied to a earphone 9. Thus, the amplification factor and the dynamic range at each frequency zone can optimizingly be adjusted to a person who has a difficulty in hearing, by changing the cutoff frequency of the low pass filter 3 and the high pass filter 4 and the attenuators 5 and 7.
