Abstract
PURPOSE: To ease its handling and make possible to store in long term with keeping stability and without trouble of caking, or the like, during its piling, by making a polycondensation type water soluble resin of a cyanamide type compound and an aldehyde group to flake powder.
CONSTITUTION: A powdered flocculating agent containing said flakee particles as an effective component is obtained by, for example, heating and vacuum drying an aqueous soln. of a dicyandiamide formaldehyde resin, which is obtained through a reaction, to form a spongy resin, and grinding this spongy resin with an impact mill. Here, as powder, it is assumed that an amount of particles to the extent of 10W40 meshes size occupies ≤80% in total amount; and, as flake particles, it is assumed that an amount of particles of a shape such that a length (thickness) in one direction alone of the x-, y-, z-orthogonal axes is less than 1/3 of a length in other axial direction occupies ≥70wt% of ratio. Further, an extent of 40W60° of angle of repose is agreeable.
