Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain moldings in a short time with a small amt. of a solidifying agent by adding ≥10wt% cement to powder and granular waste such as coal ashes, adding sea water to this, and kneading the mixture then casting the mixture in forms, molding the same and aging the moldings under specific temp. and humidity conditions.
CONSTITUTION: After a ≥10wt% cement is added to powder and granular waste such as coal ashes, waste incineration ashes, waste molding sand or the like, sea water is added to these and the mixture is kneaded. Then, said mixture is cast into forms and is thereby molded, after which the moldings are aged at 50W90°C in an atmosphere of 85W100% humidity in such a way that the product of temp. and time attains ≥240°C.hour, whereby the waste is solidified. In the above- described method, the moldings of high strength are obtained in desired shapes in a short time by using cement as a binder and using sea water, and such moldings are usable for fish shelters, civil engineering and construction materials, etc.
