PURPOSE:To realize an inversed slow picture without noise bar, by fitting a pair of rotating magnetic heads to the moving part of each head drive element and giving a bias suitable for tape stop state and reversed run state to the rotating magnetic heads. CONSTITUTION:In a still mode stopping a magnetic tape 1 at playback, a rotating magnetic head is moved by one track pitch right in Figure toward the track width in the 1st field period when the magnetic head contacts with the tape 1. In the 2nd field, since a tack B1 is required to be completely reproduced, the rotating magnetic head is moved left in Figure by one track pitch and returns to zero at the end of the 2nd field. In the reverse slow motion playback, the bias having the slope of two track pitch by one field is given. At the next field, since the rotating magnetic head of B azimuth comes on a track B3 with the similar slope, the bias having the slope of two track pitches given.
