Abstract
PURPOSE:To form Zn plated film of excellent close adherence and workability efficiently, by performing a small amount of rolling work after evaporation of Zn on the activated surface of a steel sheet at the temperature not causing reevaporation. CONSTITUTION:Improvement of adhesion of Zn plated film is intended by introducing the steel belt 2 unwound from an uncoiler 1 in an oxidation furnace 3, removing oils and fats of the surface, then activating strongly the surface by heating in the reducing atmosphere in a reduction furnace 4 to improve the adhesive property of Zn plating. Then, the steel belt 2 is cooled under the reducing atmosphere in a cooling furnace 5 and its temperature is regulated to 40- 200 deg.C. In this temperature range there is no possibility that the temperature of evaporated Zn is raised to the reevaporation temperature by the heat of condensation and solidification of evaporated Zn. The steel belt 2 is evaporated with Zn in a vacuum evaporation chamber 11 without contacting to the outer atmosphere via differential pressure chambers 6-10, taken out in the atmosphere via differential pressure chambers 13-17, rolled ca. 1% by a rolling mill 18 and wound up to a coiler 21 as the Zn evaporation-plated steel belt via a heating furnace 19 and a cooling furnace 20 of the reducing atmosphere.
