Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the power generating effect of the titled solar battery by a method wherein a latent heat accumulating material is applied on the rear surface of the battery to thereby prevent the overheating of the battery. CONSTITUTION:The latent heat accumulating material 3 is put into a container made of a material of good heat conductivity and the container is applied onto the rear surface of the solar battery 1. In this case, when the rear surface of the solar battery is subjected to sunlight, a part of the sunlight reflects upon the surface and a part of the reflected sunlight is converted partly into electrical energy and partly into heat energy to thereby elevate the temperature of the solar battery 1. Further, the heat energy thus obtained is stored in the latent heat accumulating material 3 applied on the rear surface of the solar battery and after the time when the temperature of the material 3 reaches its shifting point, the material 3 keeps its temperature constant. Consequently, the solar battery 1 is not overheated and accordingly, the power generating efficiency of the solar battery is not reduced.
