Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform filtering operation without taking out a sample cell from a sample chamber, by providing a transferring holder and the like which selectively positions a cell containing a suspension liquid and a cell containing filtered liquid to the light irradiating location. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary cell holder 13 is rotated by a motor 14, the position of the suspension sample measuring cell 15, which has been located at the optical measuring position and whose optical measurement has already finished, is relocated by the position of the vacant filtered liquid measuring cell 17. By said rotation, a pinion 37 is rotated together with the rotation of the cell holder 13, and a sucking nozzle 30 is concurrently inserted into the suspension sample measuring cell 15. At the time point, when the relocation of the cells has been completed, and the sucking nozzle is inserted in the suspension sample 16, sucking is started through a solenoid valve 20. The suspension sample 16 is sucked by the sucking nozzle 30 and passes through a filter 18. Then, only the filtered liquid is recovered to the filtered liquid measuring cell 17 through a flowing tube 31. In this way, the filtering operation can be performed without taking out the sample cell from the sample chamber.
