Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure a temperature with good reproducibility even when an optical condition between an atomizing furnace and both photodetecting elements is varied, by comparing a ratio of output between two photodetecting elements having different spectral characteristics each other with the value of experimentally dtermined function. CONSTITUTION:Two photodetecting elements D1, D2 are arranged opposite to a window w each other. Spectral characteristics of these elements are different each other. Outputs of two elements are inputted into a signal processing circuit 2 and a ratio of both outputs is computed. A relational function of the ratio of the outputs of two elements D1, D2 and temperature are preliminarily found experimentally and said data are stored in a temperature control programmer 3. Then, the furnace temperature is detected by comparing the ratio of the outputs of both elements with the value of the function determined experimentally.
