Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a carrier for the immobilization of enzyme, giving high and stable activity of the enzyme, by using a porous anion exchange resin having particular specific surface area, pore diameter, pore volume and ion exchange group.
CONSTITUTION: An arbitrary enzyme is immobilized by conventional ionic bonding method, covalent bonding method, etc. to a carrier composed of a porous anion exchange resin having a particle diameter of about 20W400 mesh, a specific surface area of ≥50m2/g-dry resin, preferably ≤ about 700m2/g, the volume of pore with ≥75Å diameter of ≥0.5ml/g-dry resin, preferably ≤ about 1.4ml/g, an exchange capacity of 10-6W10-2meq/m2-surface area, and at least one of a primary amino group or a secondary amino group as the exchange group.
