Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent control signals and noises from being recorded by checking whether a received signal is a picture signal or not, in every line and applying only the signal recognized as a picture one to a recording head. CONSTITUTION:Signals demodulated by a demodulator 1 are written in memory devices 2, 3 interchangeably in every n lines. A picture signal carrier detector 5 detects whether signals inputted to the demodulator 1 include picture signal carrier or not and the discriminated results of signals written in the memory 2 and that in the memory 3 are stored in registers 6 and 7, respectively. These picture signals and discriminated results are read out interchangeably from the memory 2 through the register 6 and the memory 3 through the register 7 and stored in a shift register 11 through multiplexers 8, 9 and an AND gate 10. When every n bits are stored, these picture signals are outputted from the register 11 and applied to a recording head. Thus, no useless signals such as control signals and noises are recorded.
