Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve conversion precision and to increase a conversion speed by using capacitors, provided corresponding to respective bits of a digital signal, and three switch groups in combination. CONSTITUTION:Capacitors 11a-11f provided in correspondence with respective bits of a digital signal have the same capacity, and are charged successively by constant-current sources 17a-17f through switches A1-A6. Switches C1-C6 initialize those capacitors prior to charging. Switches B1-B5 distributes the charge of each capacitor to the low-order capacitor starting at a low-order bit side. Those switches are controlled by a switch control circuit 18. Thus, the capacitors have the same capacity and conversion processing is carried out on pipeline basis to improve conversion precision and to increase a conversion speed.
