Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain the security of a sample by fitting an air bag made of a flexible member on the counter surfaces between a detector and the sample, by detecting variation in air pressure due to contact between the air bag and sample, and stopping the movement of the detector. CONSTITUTION:When a sample strikes an air bag 5 while a scintillation detector 7 equipped with the air bag 5 moves up or down to or rotates close to a sample, air pressure in the air bag 5 rises, and this pressure expands the bellows 12a of a pressure detector 12 through a pressure transfer pipe 10 to turn on a switch SW. The pressure detector 12 outputs a pressure detection signal to an FF13, which inverts pulse edges to send its output to a driver 14 for a drive part; and the input from the FF13 is level-converted there to output an operation stop signal to a drive part 15, stopping the driving of the scintillation detector 7.
