Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a static pressure screw device and facilitate the production thereof, by providing circumferential protrusions continuous to a screw groove provided as a fluid supply passage on the peripheral surface of a nut, to use the protrusions as fluid restrictors and by opening small holes extending from the restrictors to flanks. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral surface of a nut 2 screw-engaged with a male screw 1 is airtightly fitted on the inside surface 6 of an outer cylinder 3. Screw grooves 22, 23 are provided on the peripheral surface of the nut 2. The screw groove 22 functions as a fluid supply passage. The other screw groove 23 functions as a fluid discharge passage. Circumferential protrusions 13, 14 of outside diameter smaller than that of the peripheral surface of the nut 2 fitted on the inside surface 6 of the outer cylinder 3 are provided on both the sides of the screw groove 22 so that restricting clearances are defined between the inside surface of the outer cylinder 3 and the protrusions 13, 14. Numerous small holes 17, 18 are provided at regular intervals along the lead of the inside screw surface of the nut 2 so that the small holes 17, 18 extend from the circumferential protrusions 13, 14 to the right and left flanks of the inside screw surface of the nut 2.
