Abstract
PURPOSE:To promote the combustion efficiency in the whole area of operation of a plasma ignition device for an internal combustion engine or the like by changing over the capacity of condensers accumulating the energy of ignition by means of automatic switches working in accordance with a fixed number of revolutions. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is rotated at a low speed about under the number of revolutions 3,000rpm, automatic switches SW1-SW4 are closed, and a plasma ignition devcie is operated at the sum of the capacities of condensers C3 and C4, that is, at the former capacity 1muF. When the engine is rotated at a high speed, an analog voltage g1 obtained by converting an ignition signal (f) by an F-V converter G is increased higher than a reference voltage Vo, and an output g2 of a comparator H is brought to H-level. Then, a transistor Q is on and automatic switches S1-S4 are off for reducing the capacity of the condenser to C3. Consequently, charging can be sufficiently carried on even by the charging capacity of a DC-DC converter E at the high speed, and a stable igniting combustion can be obtained by a small energy of ignition.
