Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce an anodized film having high heat conductivity, resistance to heat and electrical insulating properties, by anodizing an Al material or an Al alloy material in an electrolytic cell containing NH4 salts or Na salts, and polymerizing a polymerizable organo-metallic compound that has been impregnated into the fine pores or the surfaces of the resulting anodized film.
CONSTITUTION: An Al alloy plate, particularly Al-Si alloy plate is anodized in an electrolytic cell containing an NH4 salt (for example: ammonium tartrate) or an Na salt (for example: NaOH). In this electrolytic cell, preferably having a concentration of 5W80g/l NH4 +, and that of 1W30g/l Na+, 5W40°C cell temperature, and 0.5W20A/dm2 electric current density. A polymerizable organic metal compound (for example: phenyltriethoxy silan) solution is impregnated into the pores or the surface of the thus resulting anodized film. Then the anodized film is dried to eliminate excess water and organic solvents, and the adhered polymerizable organo-metallic compound is polymerized by polymerizing means such as heating.
