Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy distribution of address for a microinstruction with a microprogram control device, by storing the literal data into an optional address and then extracting it. CONSTITUTION:A microinstruction read out to a microinstruction register 3 from a control memory 1 which stores a microprogram is decoded by a decoder 7. If the use of the literal data is indicated, the contents of a microinstruction address register 2 is added by 1 through an adding circuit 5 to be stored in a microinstruction return address register 6. At the same time, the decoding of the microinstruction is suppressed by the number of steps indicated by a decoding suppressing circuit 8. On the other hand, a microinstruction address forming circuit 4 produces the addresses to read the microinstruction. Meanwhile no decoding is carried out, and the reading advances up to the address where the literal data is stored to extract the data.
