CONSTITUTION:This equipment is equiped with a drum 11 for winding original a drum 13 for winding recording paper, a light source 15 for reading, a photoelectric converter 17, an A/D converter 31, etc. When one line's picture information is recorded in a line memory 43, information is outputted by a pulse ECP from a pulse encoder 103 successively from the leading address of the memory at the time of recording, and the information is delivered to a pattern generator 61 and a D/A converter 201 through a code converter 51. By using difference bits of picture elements of the input system and the recording system as a signal for dot diameter variable voltage, half-tone picture recordings which stably express the gradation are made without lowering the resolution.
