Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable finding of the possibility of application of a soil treating agent through safe and simple measurement of an absorptive efficiency of the soil treating agent to soil, by a method wherein soil and a coloring matter make contact with each other in solvent to measure an absortion ratio of the coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:Instead of measuring of an absorptive efficiency of a soil treating agent, such as weed killers, insecticides, to soil, 1ppm-a few percent mixture solvent of a basic, acid, oil-soulble coloring matter and water, water and aceton, or water and dioxan, is dissolved in water, and soil is caused to contact in the disolution liquid. In the case of a coloring matter which is susceptible to be absorbed to soil, about 100ppm-a few percent solution is gradually added to a given amount of soil to measure a liquid amount obtained until supernatant liquid is colored. In case a coloring matter, being hard to be absorbed to soil, is used, a measurement is conducted at about 1-100ppm a coloring matter concentration in case a measurement is performed based on a difference in a coloring matter concentration between the concentrations before and after the addition of soil. This permits the safe, easy, and quick measurement of absorptive efficiency of a treating agent to soil even at an experiment room, filed site. A better absorptive soil is prevented from the occurrence of damage from agricultural chemicals, and the treating agent can be used effectively.
