Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the economy by combining a pressure switch and a flow rate switch to single switch to enable continuous operation of a pump even when a water cock is throttled down. CONSTITUTION:A switch device 4 is constituted by containing therein a lead switch 20 for the control of the pump operation and a magnet 13 to actuate said switch 20 and providing a float 12 to be pushed up by the water flow in the pump operation and a bellows 15 coming in contact with the lower end of said float thereby enabling the continuous operation of the pump even when the water cock (not illustrated) is throttled down. As the discharge pressure increases when the water cock is fully closed the bellows 15 contracts to stop the water flow, the float 12 lowers by its own weight thus moving the magnet 13 farther away from the switch 20 to open the contact point of the switch 20 cutting off the current supply to a relay coil 21 to open a relay contact point 23 thereby turning off a pump motor 22 to stop the operation.
