PURPOSE:To improve the rising capacity of an air conditioner equipped with both systems of a heat pump and a hot-water heater by comparing capacities of both systems for operating a wind-way switching damper. CONSTITUTION:When the heating capacity of a hot-water heater is higher than that of a heat pump just after the starting of operation, since a temperature TH is higher than a temperature TW, a control circuit 38 covers the front face of a hot-water heater heat exchanger 5 with an air-mix door 32 for opening a bypass wind-way 36. Subsequently, when the heating capacity of the hot-water heater is increased to be TW<TH, the air-mix door 32 opens the side of the hot-water heat exchanger 5, and closes the bypass wind-way 36. Consequently, a heat pump heat exchanger 27 operates as a preheater, and the temperature of hot blast is rapidly increased. As it is increased and the heating capacity of the hot-water heater independently reaches to the saturation temperature, the heat pump cycle is intermitted by the signal of a temperature detection part 39a.
