Abstract

PURPOSE: To collect almost all tar by a fluidized bed and to control the adhesion of tar to a direct cooler, by passing a high-temperature crude gas through an indirect cooler consisting of a fluidized bed to cool the gas, recovering its sensible heat, sending the gas to a direct cooler.
CONSTITUTION: A high-temperature crude gas is introduced from the bottom of the indirect cooler 1, brought into contact with the flowing particles 4 in the cooler 1 and cooled. The high-boiling tar in the gas is condensed and attached to the surface of the particles 4, which 4 is simultaneously heated by the sensible heat of the gas, and the tar attached to the particles 4 is thermally decomposed and solidified. the particles 4 are brought into contact with the heat transfer pipe 5 for cooling, cooled, and they are cooled and heated repeatedly while flowing in the cooler 1 so that the tar is collected. Simultaneously, the sensible heat of the gas collected by the heat transfer pipe 5 is recovered as other heat source. The gas passed through the indirect cooler 1 is sent through the line 2 to the direct cooler 3 forming the venturi part and cooled quickly by gas jetting. The remaining tar is not solidified, sent in a liquid state together with the gas, not to cause clogging troubles.
