Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a separating diaphragm having permeabilities according to the objects in the same production step by a method wherein two kinds of methyl methacrylate copolymers are used and the blending of the compolymers and additives incorporated are controlled.
CONSTITUTION: A methyl methacrylate copolymer contianing 0.5W10mol% of a polymerizable monomer having a sulfonate group and a methyl methacrylate copolymer containing 0.5W10mol% of a polymerizable monomer having a quarternary nitrogen group are prepared into the diaphragm by using as a diaphragm forming liquid a solution containing the copolymers in a solvent consisting of a dimethyl sulfoxide or dimethyl formamide containing 5W40wt.% of glycerin or formamide, with the mixing ratio of (number of sulfonate groups)/(number of quarternary nitrogen groups) in the range of 5/1W1/5 and the polymer concentration in the range of 5W30wt%. This separating diaphragm has a permeability to albumin of at least 30% and the water permeability of 0.1W60l/hr.m2.mmHg.
