Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a sample in the precise cross sectional condition easily in the short time by hardening the sample with an adhesive agent of the room temperature setting type and by cutting its end surface with a super microtome. CONSTITUTION:Reinforcing sheets 3 are laminated on both surfaces of a sheet or film 1 by a rapidly drying adhesive agent 2 of the room temperature setting type. When a thick sheet is employed, the outer layer of the sheet 1 is strengthened only with said adhesive agent 2. After the adhesive agent 2 that reinforced the sheet 1 is hardened, the end surface for observation of the sheet 1 is cut roughly several times with a super-microtome and the surface cut further one or two times is taken as the observation surface. With such a method, it is possible to expose the true cross section of the sheet 1 without requiring skillfulness.
